From Imascono we participated on October 8th at the SUMMIND 2026 Congress, the great meeting point for industrial supply in Spain, organized by Ferretería y Bricolaje – C de Comunicación. It was a day dedicated to market analysis and the exchange of experiences. Our contribution included sessions on: AI consulting individual agreements with each company.
A sector with history that looks to the future
Spanish industrial supply is growing, attracting investment and attracting the interest of international groups. Behind many of its companies are families that have been growing them for several generations. The trade, the experience and the people who support it are their great strength.
SUMMIND brought together all of this ecosystem: owners, executives, manufacturers, distributors, international groups and investment funds. The program combined presentations by industry leaders, Consulting in parallel and a recognition of the best supplies from Spain.
At Imascono we share the consulting space with Hacemos Cosas, focused on marketing and digitalization, and with EstrategiZATE, focused on sales and operations. For us it is a great honor to accompany industrial sector in this path from Artificial Intelligence.
A question as a starting point
We arrived at the congress with a question that we hear often: «Artificial intelligence, what is it for me, and what will it cost me, in money and headaches?».
To answer that question, we sat down with each company for 20 to 30-minute sessions. We talked about their day-to-day operations, how they work today, and where they want to go. Each conversation was different because each company starts from its own unique point of view.
From manual to autonomous, company by company
In each session we apply our The method from manual to autonomous. This is the way we measure the digital maturity of an organization at Imascono. It goes through four stages:
- Manuals: Isolated processes and tasks that are done by hand.
- Connected: Connected systems and data available for everyday use.
- Smart: decisions assisted by data and Artificial Intelligence.
- Self-employed persons: an operation on a scale that optimizes itself.
With this map, we saw together in which stage each company is and what challenges they face ahead. Then we reviewed their processes to identify which parts would save time with the Process automation. And we leave room for doubts and to talk about how to take the first steps.
Doubts of those who want to do it well
When a company thinks about AI, three things worry them: the cost, the adaptation of the team, and the support once the solution is implemented. These are the questions of anyone who wants to do it well.
At Imascono we propose a simple path. Choose two or three very specific pain points. Assign a clear person in charge within the company. And resolve them one by one, with a development plan visible from the beginning. In this way, the project becomes a path with recognizable stages, and each stage justifies its own cost.
The goal of each session was clear: that each company would take away ideas to implement starting the following Monday.
