Vaccines is a professional Virtual Reality training programme developed for Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, to train laboratory staff in the preparation and administration process of its new injectable product. The experience turns the drug's user manual into a gamified simulation that healthcare staff can practise autonomously, in any country and in their own language, with no need to move trainers or consume pharmaceutical material during learning. A single project that makes it possible to train teams distributed around the world simultaneously.
Training laboratory staff without moving trainers or wasting material.
Hands-on training of laboratory staff around a new pharmaceutical product is one of the most critical and costly processes in the industry. The user manual alone doesn't guarantee mastery of the procedure, but the conventional alternatives are unfeasible at global scale: sending trainers to every country consumes time and budget, and in-person sessions require pharmaceutical material to be set aside solely for learning, multiplying the opportunity cost for the company and its customers. Boehringer Ingelheim needed training that was hands-on, motivating, simultaneous across countries and respectful of real pharmaceutical material.
