Case summary

120 years of automotive history powered by technology.

To mark its 120th anniversary, Hispano Suiza has unveiled the Carmen Sagrera, an electric supercar that fuses the brand's century-long heritage of luxury with the latest cutting-edge technologies. The model pays tribute to Barcelona's La Sagrera district, where the company set up its first major factory in 1911. The Carmen Sagrera is an electric supercar fitted with four electric motors delivering a combined 1,114 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.6 seconds. At Imascono we focused on both developing the enhanced infotainment system and the mobile app, adding new personalisation options that keep the driver always connected.

01 The challenge

Carrying the brand legacy into the digital product

The client was operating with a digital ecosystem fragmented across multiple brands, legacy platforms and data silos that prevented quick decisions and a coherent experience for the end user. Every new campaign required weeks of coordination between technical and creative teams, load times were inconsistent across regions and analytics lived scattered in manual spreadsheets. They needed a unified, scalable platform measurable in real time, without losing each brand's own identity.

02 The solution

An on-board system and mobile app worthy of the hypercar

We designed a modular architecture based on microservices with a central orchestration layer that lets new channels and campaigns be added in days instead of weeks. We created a design token system shared across all brands to guarantee visual and functional coherence at every end-customer touchpoint, cut average deployment time by ninety per cent and integrated advanced real-time analytics so the business team can iterate autonomously without depending on IT.

Key learnings

What this case teaches the sector.

01

The digital product is now part of the luxury physical product

In premium automotive, the car is no longer just mechanics, finishes and power: the on-board interface and the mobile app are an inseparable part of the product. A top-tier hypercar isn't fully bought if the digital experience isn't up to the level of the rest of the vehicle.

02

Brand identity must carry over to the interface

In brands with a century-old heritage, the visual language of the screen and the app can't be generic. The on-board system and the mobile app are natural extensions of the brand identity: every typeface, every animation and every interaction flow must reflect the legacy and exacting standards of the product.

03

The car–user connection extends beyond the journey

The relationship between the owner and a premium vehicle is no longer limited to time behind the wheel. The mobile app keeps the bond alive before, during and after the journey: monitoring the car's status, controlling functions remotely and building a continuous digital relationship with the vehicle.

04

In electric automotive, on-board information is product

In a 100% electric hypercar, the battery, the range, the driving modes and the recovered energy aren't secondary data: they're central to the experience. The infotainment system must present that information with clarity and sophistication, integrating it into the cockpit's visual narrative.
